Hi,
Some plots for the meeting.
from B0 cocktail MC
vub enriched sample (no reco kaon):
http://www.slac.stanford.edu/~denardo/vub/mxstudymar82002/vubenr.ps
vub depleted sample (a k charged or a ks reco'ed):
http://www.slac.stanford.edu/~denardo/vub/mxstudymar82002/vubdep.ps
in the two postscipts there are 6 plots. The legend is:
1. events with a true KL.
2. events with a true KS.
3. events with a true charged K reco'ed & correctly identified.
4. events with a true charged K misidentified as a pion.
5. events with a cascade lepton which do not fall in the prev. categories
6. Other events.
You find in
http://www.slac.stanford.edu/~denardo/vub/mxstudymar82002/detailenr.ps
the zoom in Mx<1.6 of those plots for tbe enriched sample.
the break-down is the following:
KL 47%
KS 24%
K lost 14%
K mis-id 24%
cascade (not K) 8%
other 7%
Finally, look at
http://www.slac.stanford.edu/~denardo/vub/mxstudymar82002/comparison.ps
It is a comparison of the MX distributons for
1. Events with a KL in the vub enriched sample
2. Events with a reco KS (depleted sample) with the best KS removed from
the recoil. (best is defined as the one with minimal residual of reco mass
w.r.t. PDG value).
See you at the meeting
Guglielmo
