Hello folks,
starting from the existing work of Vuko and Giuseppe finocchiaro I have
had a first glance at the phi gamma sample.
The description of what I did so far is in
http://babar.roma1.infn.it/~faccini/phigamma/pg.html
My preliminary conclusion is that things (for SP3 compared to 10fb-1
of run1 data - 822 candidates overall)
are quite good: the data seem to have ~10% more Klongs interacting in the
EMC than the MC and there is no visible dependence on the energy of the
incoming klong. With the rough work done so far I would say that a
conservative test would be to redo the measurement enhancing by 10% the
contribution from Klongs.
There are still quite a few things on the plate:
1) add data statistics and SP4
2) figure out how to deal with the fact that the overlap of the spectrum
in our sample and in the control sample is far from optimal
3) look for discriminant variables between klongs and photons on this
sample
ciao
