Hi,
as shown in the BAD the background fit (Mx>1.6GeV) show a very good
agreement and a good chisquare.
I tried to do the same fit in each multiplicity category as a crosscheck.
The results are in:
http://www.slac.stanford.edu/~daniele/vub/
datach1ne1fitresults.eps nch=0, nneu=0
datach2ne1fitresults.eps nch=1-2, nneu=0
datach3ne1fitresults.eps nch>2, nneu=0
datach1ne2fitresults.eps nch=0, nneu>0
datach2ne2fitresults.eps nch=1-2, nneu>0
datach3ne2fitresults.eps nch>2, nneu>0
where nch=number of charged tracks
nneu=number of neutral with E<160MeV
as you see we have a large discrepancy for
nch=1-2, nneu=0 (more D0's-Dc?)
and
nch=0, nneu>0 (more D*?)
while the other categories are fine.
This effect has to be investigated in detail since it can indicate, for
instance, discrepancies in the modeling of the b->clnu transition
multiplicity.
