Hi all,
I'm trying to understand the strange behavior that I see in fig. 27(b) of
the BAD : the cos(theta) distribution of those gammas that have E<80 MeV.
I've found that there is a periodicity in the distribution and I tought
that this was due to some 'binning' reason.
Now I'm gone trough details and I have found that the periodicity is
really weird and comes directly from that one of the thetaGam variable
dumped from beta.
I've posted the thetaGam distribution as it comes from beta level for
those photons that have E < 80 MeV in
http://www.slac.stanford.edu/~asarti/recoil/TGam_all2.eps
It is really a weird distribution.
in
http://www.slac.stanford.edu/~asarti/recoil/pino5
you can find the values registered for the first 1000 events:
some values occur 23 times while others only one time.
It is not clear to me what the binning problem can be.
I've found that the minimu difference btw two next values is 0.000001 so I
can't see where the binning problem can originates.
Does anyone has any hint about this weird distribution of thetaGam?
Cheers,
Alessio
