Hi all,
we managed to produce data files without duplicates....
Here are the first results.
a) We have killed:
-all the duplicates among same seed and same superblock (those
are probably due to 'technical reasons')
-duplicated events among differents seeds superblocks keeping the most
pure event
b) some numbers:
We start with 4720765 events (before lept cut)
we found 618485 duplicates
Here's the breakdown (before lepton cut)
******Duplicates in D0 ***********
326752 duplicates_d0
******Duplicates in D ***********
130321 duplicates_dc
******Duplicates in D* ***********
41052 duplicates_dstar
******Duplicates in D*0 ***********
120354 duplicates_dstar0
And here's the breakdonw per seed per superblock (bef. lepton cut)

c) When running on events with lepton cut applied we found
entries dupl killed

dstar_sb2.log:Found 22700 1465 Num. of duplicates
dstar_sb3.log:Found 11220 1280 Num. of duplicates
d) here's the Mes distribution of all candidates
pre killing (upperplot black) after killing (upperplot red) and the
difference btw the two (lowerplot)
1) after letpon cut
http://www.slac.stanford.edu/~asarti/recoil/killing/mes
mes_*.eps plots..... (obvious names)
1) after all cut

GEmes_*.eps plots..... (obvious names)
In superblocks 1 the contribution of peaking events comes mainly for
duplicated events in same sedd-superblock (events duplicated for technical
problem)
In all the other Mes plot the contribution of duplicated events is almost
not peaking (there is still some peaking evidence in sb2...)
All the various contributions are higly suppressed when applying the
GoodEvent cut...
e) Here are the results for the fit having applied the killing to
duplicates
Ball_Q0 :BRBR = 0.0178524 +- 0.00447615(stat) +- 0.00125581(MC stat)
B0_Q0 :BRBR = 0.00243623 +- 0.00733719(stat) +- 0.00220839(MC stat)
Bc_Q0 :BRBR = 0.0281067 +- 0.00564098(stat) +- 0.0018121(MC stat)
Ball_Q1 :BRBR = 0.0279537 +- 0.00502328(stat) +- 0.00145547(MC stat)
B0_Q1 :BRBR = 0.0159362 +- 0.0079332(stat) +- 0.00231999(MC stat)
Bc_Q1 :BRBR = 0.0366416 +- 0.00649998(stat) +- 0.00206532(MC stat)
Here are the default results
Ball_Q0 :BRBR = 0.0169654 +- 0.00429284(stat) +- 0.00124525(MC stat)
B0_Q0 :BRBR = 0.00235536 +- 0.00709451(stat) +- 0.0022153(MC stat)
Bc_Q0 :BRBR = 0.0264172 +- 0.00537667(stat) +- 0.00176521(MC stat)
Ball_Q1 :BRBR = 0.0253801 +- 0.00483479(stat) +- 0.0014268(MC stat)
B0_Q1 :BRBR = 0.0143015 +- 0.00763378(stat) +- 0.00229645(MC stat)
Bc_Q1 :BRBR = 0.0335968 +- 0.00626533(stat) +- 0.0019938(MC stat)
As you can clearly see there's no striking effect.
The statistical error increase a bit in ALL the cases for Q0 (this is
expected) while decrease a bit for Q1 (???).
There's also a systematic shift towards higer values of BRBR either for Q0
and Q1....
We're still missing the superblock3 for d0 but this is the only missing
piece of the game and adding it would not change the result too much.
Let me know questions and comments.
Cheers,
Alessio
