Hi all, these are the new scans with: - trk7 phot8 - all official chains - only vubsignal-generic MC (new included) - fitoption = 2 (new fit) in one word the best we have at the moment (except the new kin fit) Mx -- All http://www.slac.stanford.edu/~daniele/vub/scantrk7phot8/mxtrk7phot7mxCut.eps http://www.slac.stanford.edu/~daniele/vub/scantrk7phot8/mxtrk7phot7mxCutdiff.eps B0 http://www.slac.stanford.edu/~daniele/vub/scantrk7phot8/mxB0trk7phot7mxCut.eps http://www.slac.stanford.edu/~daniele/vub/scantrk7phot8/mxB0trk7phot7mxCutdiff.eps Bch http://www.slac.stanford.edu/~daniele/vub/scantrk7phot8/mxBchtrk7phot7mxCut.eps http://www.slac.stanford.edu/~daniele/vub/scantrk7phot8/mxBchtrk7phot7mxCutdiff.$ Pcms ---- All http://www.slac.stanford.edu/~daniele/vub/scantrk7phot8/pcmstrk7phot7leptonPCut.eps http://www.slac.stanford.edu/~daniele/vub/scantrk7phot8/pcmstrk7phot7leptonPCutdiff.eps B0 http://www.slac.stanford.edu/~daniele/vub/scantrk7phot8/pcmsB0trk7phot7leptonPCut$ http://www.slac.stanford.edu/~daniele/vub/scantrk7phot8/pcmsB0trk7phot7leptonPCut$ Bch http://www.slac.stanford.edu/~daniele/vub/scantrk7phot8/pcmsBchtrk7phot7leptonPC$ http://www.slac.stanford.edu/~daniele/vub/scantrk7phot8/pcmsBchtrk7phot7leptonPC$ I have also studied a bit more in detail the pstar factor as a function of the integrated purity. I used all the available MC. These are the results pstar factor 20% 40% 60% int purity cut pstar cut 2.2 125.028 123.053 128.729 2.1 15.1796 14.8609 15.2544 2 5.82138 5.83955 6.16224 1.9 3.40989 3.43208 3.62807 1.8 2.4231 2.47694 2.59673 1.7 1.92996 2.00062 2.07445 1.6 1.66564 1.71298 1.76648 1.5 1.47724 1.52301 1.56 1.4 1.34615 1.38622 1.41378 1.3 1.25017 1.2778 1.30879 1.2 1.18143 1.20477 1.22918 1.1 1.12656 1.14651 1.16659 1 1.08897 1.11244 1.13006 0.9 1.05165 1.07403 1.09289 0.8 1.03017 1.04848 1.06657 0.7 1.0095 1.02457 1.04363 0.6 1.00175 1.01586 1.03418 0.5 0.993589 1.00603 1.02588 The last column has a stat error > 3%. If there is an effect vs the integrated purity, it seems to be due to the usual bias in yields estimate with low purities. The stat error associated to the calculation of this number should cover this systematics. Daniele
