The formula in our code is the one quoted in the very right term of eq. 14
in the description Ric sent out yesterday.

It reads:
(N_nr[i] - N_r[i] * e_R)
-----------------------
   (N_r[i] * e_R)

were
        N_nr
e_r ==  -----
      N_r (R+1)


hope that clears any confusion.
Concerning the weight change: can you point me to the files you're
comparing. I'll explain the differences...
