Dear Colleagues,
Before and during the Victoria ALCPG meeting, the Worldwide
Study organizing committee met, and discussed the draft proposal
for organizing the experimental program over the next few years,
leading up to the Detector TDRs. We were pleased to have comments
from the wider community to contribute to our considerations.
During this meeting, it was decided that we should not propose
creating a single task force, which we had been referring to as the
GEC, but to retain the main responsibilities in the organizing
committee of the WWS, for now, and to create a few special task
force for particular functions, such as cost estimates, detector
R&D, and machine/detector interface. A summary of this plan,
presented by Hitoshi in the Victoria Plenary session, is posted at:
http://www.linearcollider.ca:8080/lc/vic04/plenary/hitoshi_yamamoto.pdf
This will be presented to the ILCSC in Beijing next week,
and we will be revising the draft document, but not providing
it at the Beijing meeting.
We welcome your comments ([log in to unmask]).
Sincerely,
Jim Brau, David Miller, Hitoshi Yamamoto
