Hi Gregory,
To summarize, I see:
fzk-babar> telnet f01-001-106 1094
Trying 10.65.1.106...
Connected to f01-001-106.
Escape character is '^]'.
Connection closed by foreign host.
fzk-babar> telnet f01-001-121 1094
Trying 10.65.1.121...
telnet: connect to address 10.65.1.121: Connection refused
fzk-babar> telnet f01-001-122 1094
Trying 10.65.1.122...
telnet: connect to address 10.65.1.122: Connection refused
so the first one is SL3 and the latter two are the RH72 machines? I can't
log on to check, but I assume that the xrootd daemon really is running
on them, so the problem is presumably some firewall setting (this
is presumably what Jean-Yves was thinking in asking you to do this test).
You should ask the FZK sysadmins about this.
