Hi Gregory,
The alice project wants to be able to setup clusters without writing
specialized config files for each one. One impediment is the configuration
of supervisors, which specifically addresses. The other is automatic
discovery of the head node. I beleive they are working on a side system to
be able to do this without any special config file. I don't know what
algorithm or other services they are using to accomplish this.
The additional options that are being added are "fixed" for all possible
configurations. So, if choose to use those options, you can drop using other
options that require you to actually sit down with a calculator. So,
mentally it becomes 0-config though you have to "opt" to not think :-)
