ATLAS SCCS Planning 28June2006

Agenda:
1. DQ2 Status/Web Proxy
Now moved to atl-dq2. Web server request has been updated and they
should be scanning it sometime soon.
2. mysql replica Status
Up and running on atl-prod02. This will be dropped from next weeks
agenda.
3. Trigger Farm Status
Some discussion about what switch to buy has been going on but no
further information at the moment.
The replacement machines have been ordered, but bits might come in
in pieces. Within three weeks it should be arriving. End of BaBar
run is delayed till the 21st August, so need to keep the existing
system in place for around a week after that. So the machines will
not move till at least early September. Would like to move it as
soon as possible after that.
Have asked Charley to get a price for the switch that will be
required.
Small questions like who provides the ethernet cables still open.
Once the machines are moved upto SCCS for the ATLAS trigger farm
they will no longer require maintenance. If they die, they die.
4. ATLAS Oracle Server
Believe this was waiting for Chuck to allocate hardware.
5. Meeting Time
Move to 9am next week. Randy will arrange a room for 90
minutes. Stephen will arrange a phone conference.
6. AOB
Have asked the US ATLAS to run production jobs again now that we
have the new DQ2.
Will try to send Wei and Andy to the SRM/dCache workshop at
Fermilab on the 17t July. Wei is heavily involved in the Grid side
of things so it would be useful. Andy should go to understand how
xrootd can fit in with the role dCache is filling just now. Need to
understand if there is any travel budget left.
