The yakut one was rejected (as I recall). It is
clearly not acceptable to run a service on a public
machine. In fact if it is running there it is
explicitly violating a policy from (at least 1997(*))
authored by Les Cottrell and Tony Johnson documented at
http://www.slac.stanford.edu/slac/www/policy/security.html
and should be shutdown. "Getting around" the
policy is clearly possible, but think it is fair
to say that people should conform to the policies
once they are aware of them (even if they do not
like them).
