Hi,
I have implemented a polynomial fit on the S/P correction factors. Just
to give an idea on how things change by fitting the corrections on data
as a function on mx by doing a p1 fit (==a0+a1*mX):
#mx_l mx_h corr err_corr
0.00 1.55 2.205 +- 0.401
1.55 1.90 1.697 +- 0.213
1.90 2.20 1.524 +- 0.175
2.20 2.50 1.363 +- 0.169
2.50 2.80 1.203 +- 0.193
2.80 3.10 1.042 +- 0.238
3.10 3.40 0.882 +- 0.295
3.40 3.70 0.721 +- 0.358
3.70 4.20 0.507 +- 0.447
4.20 5.00 0.160 +- 0.598
the corrections based simply on the mES fits outcomes (what we had been
using up to now) were
#mx_l mx_h corr err_corr
0.00 1.55 1.499 +- 0.495
1.55 1.90 2.688 +- 0.655
1.90 2.20 1.801 +- 0.296
2.20 2.50 1.896 +- 0.611
2.50 2.80 1.165 +- 0.468
2.80 3.10 0.637 +- 0.311
3.10 3.40 19.367+- 34.585
3.40 3.70 1.524 +- 1.610
3.70 4.20 8.180 +- 31.833
4.20 5.00 0.555 +- 6.639
fits with the fitted correction ratios are running...
Concezio.
