Hi all,

here were we are this week:

Roberto:
	  - ended: migration to release-18, release-20 and anal-32
	  - VubrecoilUser: compile and rootple creation is on the way
	  - under investigation: _ ratio S/R is so good as expected?
				 _ TrackFixUp effect

in parallel

Roberto, Antonio & Virginia:
	 - set up a fittest working in rel-18, for doing those tests that should prove the mES fits stability.
	 - make studies in rel-14/ anal-24 about different possible parametrizations:
		_ 3 pdf?
		  pbl: fit doesn't convege
possible solution: distinguish in MC peaking bkg & signal & continuum bkg.
then fit the pkg bkg and fix the bkg peaking shape in the fit for DATA.
In this way we should be able to be confident the signal is a real "pure" signal
and not a combination of the two.
PROS: _ it should be possible to fix the ratio Signal/ccb instead of S/peaking bkg ofr ex.
_ possible more easy convergence and more stability

		_ 2 pdf? (Antonio )
pbl: this has been seen as the solution to the not converging 3 pdf fitter,
				BUT
the Thorsten parametrization still have a kink

		       (see for ex.
bkg & signal fitted together - MC:
			~azzolini/Semilep01/fitter-24/VirVubFitter/fittest/allMC_enr_SL_haspi0-1.intp0.00_-10.0010.00.eps

so we tried to fit only signal:
			~azzolini/Semilep01/fitter-24/VirVubFitter/fittest/sig_enr_SL_haspi0-1.intp0.00_-10.0010.00.eps (A)

			and only bkg:
			~azzolini/Semilep01/fitter-24/VirVubFitter/fittest/bkg_enr_SL_haspi0-1.intp0.00_-10.0010.00.eps (B)

From (A) we learned that the X^2 is dominated by the kink presence
--> solution: _ we could request the continuity of the first derivative
_ abandon Thorsten signal parametrization, and come back to the origins.
that would mean 2 pdf ( CB + Argus) like in the past but
					 leaving floating all the parameters,
and not fix some of them as it turned out we were doing in the past.

For do that we looked at (B), making ourself aware that the way how the signal & bkg are now defined
			is no more adapt. :(
Infact, their definion, made through the comparation of modeB reconstructed and thruth mode B,
is not anymore helpful if we decide in this sense.
We should instead def/distinguish signal and bkg and fit them together.
			PROS: _ still not clear
_ possibility of leave float everythink + better S/B + endpoint adjustment
				    (Kestin study, (------- release-18 ------------)
				     float width & meadia) (----------- see C --------------)

				then + increase moreover S/B
									  (-------- rel-20 -------,
									   using TrackFixUp &
										 different lists of charged tracks)
								          (----------- see D ---------------------)
                          where
			  (C) ~sacco/my20.2.0d/workdir/compR20a-data.eps
it is observable a shift in the peak.
Before the peak all the black points (rel -18 ) are higher
After " black points are lower than the reds (rel-14).
While witha simple shift in peak i would expect a plateau at the end,
				it is recognizable a slope
--> this can be read, possible, as due to the fact that in rel-18
it has been introduced the endpoint is fixed, while in rel-14 no.

			  (D) ~sacco/my20.2.0d/workdir/mxresolution.eps
we show here the Mx resolution that depends on the lists i use for the recoil.
it is observable a peak shift, that keeps the width of the peak but moves the peak toward zero.
				as we would like it.
it is worth to mention that the
new = old + daughters tracks
(that in the past have been excluded
because they were not working properly for the Breco.
Now instead even if they don't match for the Breco
they are still considered good for Brecoil)
Plot made on generic and applying flat cuts.

BTW: when the rel-20 will be available?
Before April ? In time for summer conferences?

talk to you in few hours :)

	cheers
		Virginia, Roberto & Antonio
