Dear developers of the LCD CD for Snowmass 2001.
I am a young physics student at Science Faculty at the National
University of Mexico and currently I am very interested at High Energy
Particle Physics, particularly on the determination of the strong
coupling constant from jet multiplicities measured on the Z0
resonance. That is why I would like to learn to use the JAS program
and suddenly found the JAS tutorial for Snowmass CD on:
http://www-sldnt.slac.stanford.edu/snowmass/Documentation/Tutorial/JAS/index.html
Unfortunately, here in Mexico the Java Analysis Studio is not used
widely and is impossible to find it at the library, that's why I would
like to ask you a big question: Is it better to download all the data
and documentation stored on the Snowmass CD-ROM from
"www-slac.stanford.edu" or there exists a possibility of finding or
even buying the CD by itself to reduce the downloading time (not that
fast internet connection here)?
Sincerely,
Leonid Serkin
