Hi,
The new page looks very nice. A few suggestions:
- As nice as it is to see the list of participating institutions right on the home page, that isn't what people who arrive at this page are going to really care about.... Perhaps a few adds to pull people in (a link to the list of open meetings that you'd like to promote, like the slac atlas forum??).
- I'm willing to bet that the "getting started" link at the left is going to be the most frequently clicked.
- And there I think the most common link will be the SLAC Unix Users link. Could we add a few words to make it clear who that is aimed for ("SLAC UNIX Users -- analysis and code development on the local SLAC clusters"). Or something similar. Perhaps something like that for all the links?
There are lots of empty pages (status, events/meetings). Will the events/meeting eventually contain the minutes/agendas that are sent around for the SCCS meetings? If so I hope you have some automated way to update the web pages because maintaining a web page like that for a long period of time is a pain... :-)
Cheers,
Gordon.
