Dear all,

Here is a very late sending of the meeting minutes from
 2 weeks ago.

 1. Operations
No impact on ATLAS jobs seen from GLAST interruptions

 2. FDR and pAthena Status
      <from Wei via e-mail>
pAthena analysis jobs at SLAC now use xlong queue (previously long).
Paul Nilsson restored the function of direct reading from
Xrootd server for pAthena analysis. This is needed when user
has large input files (both in terms of bytes and number of files).
This is now in Panda CVS but not sure if Panda is running it.

SLAC Tier2 has succeeded in getting all the requested data
that were available at BNL Tier-1.
Previous report of rpms missing from SLAC SLC3/4 machines
turned out to be erroneous; Wei clarified with Nurcan that
what's missing was correct specification of the architecture
string somewhere in pAthena job submission script. pAthena
jobs are running and alles o.k.

 3. Tier-2 Hardware

Install of 1950's is not complete, but the CPU power
is already up 25%. When all FELLs are in, 50% increase
from previously is expected. Time of completion:
     end of next week (Mar.14).

2nd Black Box could be in operation by mid-April.

Planned power outage in Bldg 50. during April 11-13.
*** This has been changed to late April per LCLS
        *** request.

Thumper order approved by DOE; Teri placed an order
with SUN. The delay saved an extra 2K per unit!
Delivery expected in 1st week of April; available for use
in mid-April (after de-installing of old BABAR disks
     to make room).

4 batch machines are planned to be converted as Grid
     FTP servers.

 4. AOB

     <from Wei via e-mal>
     1) OSG would like to include xrootd as a storage element
in the next (or next next) OSG release. Andy Hanushevsky
will work with OSG on this.
     2) Andy H, Alex Sim (LBL) and Wei had several discussions
with Michael Ernst about SRM (LBL's Bestman-xrootd) for Xrootd.
There is a new requirement coming from ATLAS for SRM.
Both Alex and Andy think that it is implementable at SRM
and xrootd levels. Michael thinks that he will trust WT2's
technical judgment and would like to push the combination
of Xrootd/XrootdFS/bestman-xrootd to other US T2s
(and possibly T3s) that don't have a SRM yet.

DOE Computing security team (SAR) visit in 2 weeks,
taking over Conference Room A/B. We will have to meet
    somewhere else.
