Apologies - sorry to have missed the meeting. Was very jet-lagged having
just arrived in the AM and was a zombie at the time of the meeting.
LHC has now moved to colliding Pb-Pb (8 barns total cross section). First
data perhaps on Sunday or Monday. The record for this year: 45 pb-1
accumulated on p-p @ 7 TeV.
Just read G. Kane's piece in Physics Today on testing of string theory.
Not convincing - especially after reading Woit's blog.
Best regards,
Frank
