Follow-up Comment #1, bug #70958 (project xrootd):
Something else I noticed in previous versions (don't know if it still
applies):
- Xrootd appears to try to spider the entire filesystem to build a list of
files, then downloads them all. The first step may take an extremely long
time; the user gets no feedback, so they decide it stalled and press
"Ctrl+C". Can we interleave the two?
- Xrootd (used to) not recreate the directory structure in the destination.
That is, it downloaded all the files into the same directory, regardless of
whether they were in the same directory on the source side
