Hi all,
I am glad to announce that we have just published the
agenda, and opened the registration. Details below.
Agenda
------
We have just published the agenda for the XLDB2011
conference & workshop, see:
http://www-conf.slac.stanford.edu/xldb2011/Program.asp
http://www-conf.slac.stanford.edu/xldb2011/WProgram.asp
We are still waiting for confirmation from several speakers,
so you will see a few "TBDs", but it is mostly complete.
The agenda will be updated over the next few weeks as
we finalize details with the remaining speakers.
Registration
------------
The registration is now open. I recommend to register
early, even though we reserved much larger auditorium for
this year's event, we might run out of space as we did
last year.
The early registration (until Aug 15) is $80, late registration
(after Aug 15) is $120. If you'd like to attend the conference
dinner (same location as last year), there is an extra $25 fee.
The actual cost of dinner is ~$80, so bringing an extra quest
will cost $80.
Workshop invitations
--------------------
We will be sending workshop invitations during the week of
June 13 (shortly after the XLDB-Europe). If you are eager
to know if you are on the invitee list, feel free to
send me an email and ask, the list is almost complete,
so I should be able to tell you.
Lightning talks, poster session
-------------------------------
Given the popularity of the 5-min lightning talks last
year, we reserved 16 slots for such talks. You are very
welcome to submit a short abstract, the submission
deadline is Aug 31. More at:
http://www-conf.slac.stanford.edu/xldb2011/CallForTalks.asp
New for this year is a poster session. If you'd like to present
a poster, you will need to submit an abstract. More at:
http://www-conf.slac.stanford.edu/xldb2011/CallForPosters.asp
Sponsors
--------
We are still looking for a couple sponsors. The platinum
sponsor spot (which includes a 15 min plenary slot) is
still available.
