Details:
Hello,
I have been struggling with using xrdcp in extreme copy mode.
the system starts to transfer files but if one of the data server has a
problem. I begin to see messages like -
111214 11:20:02 1211 Xrd: CheckErrorStatus: Server [osgx3.hep.uiuc.edu:1094]
requested 26 seconds of wait. Server message is session still active
with the request time increasing and then as such the system
wedges.
It is important that if a data server does not send data (or stops sending
data) after a timeout period it be blacklisted for the file being transfered.
If all potential data servers are blacklisted then an error should occur.
Thanks,
Doug B
