Update of bug #94228 (project xrootd):
Severity: 3 - Normal => 5 - Blocker
Priority: 5 - Normal => 9 - Immediate

Follow-up Comment #9:
It works out that this bug has been in xrootd since a long time ago. However,
the way the code was structured effectively hid it at the expense of loosing
some memory. In 3.2.0 the code was better structured. This unleashed the
effects of the long-standing bug.
Specifically, any client that opens more than 16 files will cause xrootd to
crash unless the 17th file is closed before the client terminates the
session.
I am now recommending that 3.2.0 not be deployed at any site until we release
a patch for this problem (i.e. 3.2.1).
