You should look at frm.copyin, frm.purge, etc. The mps stuffs are very old. here is a skeleton of this:
all.export /data r/w nocheck nodread mig stage purge
frm.purge.policy * XXXg YYYg hold ZZZh # auto purge
frm.xfr.copycmd out /bin/true 0 # do nothing
frm.xfr.copycmd in stats noalloc you_stagein_script.sh $SRC $DST
