Hi Matevz,
What kind of security does xrootd.t2.ucsd.edu require? I never tried anything other than non-security or "sss". But it may work with any security if that the person issuing the following command and the person in uid= are the same, and there is a X509 proxy there (for GSI).
sudo xrootdfs /home/matevz/tmpm -o rw,uid=matevz,rdr=root://xrootd.t2.ucsd.edu//store
The trailing / isn't needed though it is not harmful.
After this is done, take a look at /var/log/messages and see if there is the same # of data servers listed there compare to the output of
xrd xrootd.t2.ucsd.edu locateall /store
Also, see if you can do a 'df' (and df -a)
