Dear Colleagues,
One final reminder to make plans to attend the upcoming SiD Workshop. It will be held Jan 16-18, 2013 at SLAC. If you can come, now is the time to register for the meeting, and make your travel plans and lodging reservations:
See http://www-sid.slac.stanford.edu/2013workshop/Jan2013workShop.html
It's a important meeting for SiD, coming at the end of the ILC TDR and SiD DBD process, and in the midst of planning for the 2013 US Community Summer Study ("Snowmass"). We'll hear the latest on ILC status from Marc Ross, the case for a Japanese ILC from Hitoshi Yamamoto, a final report from Research Director Sakue Yamada, and DOE Linear Collider Planning from Jim Siegrist. Michael Peskin will outline energy frontier plans for the CSS, and Lucie Linssen update us on the European Strategy and CLIC plans. In addition, there will be updates on the latest LHC physics, the ILC physics case, the final SiD benchmarking results, and highlights of SiD R&D progress.
Hope to see you at SLAC mid January, and hope to work with you to make the case for linear collider physics and detectors at the CSS.
For SiD,
Andy White, Harry Weerts, and John Jaros
p.s Sorry for the repetitions of this message. It's a difficult season to capture your attention!
