Dear Colleagues,
We are in the final stage of setting up a pre-Snowmass meeting for theorists at the KITP at UC Santa Barbara. I will describe the meeting below; it has an unusual structure that will be complementary to that of the other pre-Snowmass meetings. I encourage those of you who are interested to register and attend. Registration is available at the web site:

Chip and I ask that at least one theorist from each Working Group attend this meeting. Please register soon. The KITP limits the size of its conference to 120 participants.
We were encouraged by the KITP director Lars Bildsten to design a meeting that would include all three frontiers -- Cosmic, Intensity, and Energy. The organizing committee (on the cc list) decided to structure the meeting around classes of models. For each class (Higgs, Extra-Dimension, SUSY, GUTs, Dark Sector), a session of the meeting will explore how that class of models will be probed across the three frontiers. Each session will have short contributed papers, a rapporteur talk, and general discusion.
The meeting is generally intended for theorists to talk among themselves about the issues of Snowmass. We will also include a Town Meeting-type discussion and a presentation by the Theory Community Issues Panel.
