Follow-up Comment #14, bug #100633 (project xrootd):
I think the following would be a reasonable, no-op default (especially for
the EL6 based rpms) for /etc/security/limits.d/xootd.conf:
# To make a larger number of threads available to the user running the
# xrootd services adjust the following for your xrootd user and uncomment
#
#xu soft nproc unlimited
but I don't need this. I'll cross check with the rest of the dpm team. I
expect we'll write our own configuration for the user which runs the various
services, including xrootd, on the dpm nodes. So I don't need an example in
xrootd. I suppose unless somebody else asks for it don't add it.
