Hi Jim,

thanks for the feedback. I produced three sets of plots for ttbar->alljets 
selection (no leptons): for jets with pT>25 GeV,|eta|<2.4, for jets with 
eta cut only, and for jets without any cuts. See the plots in 
http://hep0.okstate.edu/khanov/snowmass/jetcuts/

As you can see, the jet pT cut doesn't do much. When I drop the eta cut, 
the HT distribution becomes pretty much the same as the one coming out of 
the Delphes code. The vectorial sum of jet energies MET1 remains much 
narrower than the MET distribution from the code. In fact, even without 
the PU, the rms for the MET1 distribution is smaller than the one for MET.
