Hi Henrik,
already thanks a lot for testing and for your config files!

In general, the punch modules have CERN-specific requirements, but ours, i.e. lcgdm, dmlite, xrootd, gridftp, …, do not.
So you can (should be able to) use the xrootd module on any VM.
The only OS I test on is Scientific Linux, but CentOS should be close enough.
The xrdbase.pp is a full dpm configuration, so if you just want xrootd configured, you can only instantiate the xrootd classes with the appropriate parameters.
class{"xrootd::install":}
class{"xrootd::config":}
class{"xrootd::service":}
This should work, but you will have a lot of parameters to configure. :)
That's why we have the convenience class in dmlite::xrootd, but this relies on other classes in dpm -- so maybe you don't want to do that.

Thanks a lot for naming these parameters, I will include them in the templates.
If anyone else can comment on the use of these, you are very welcome to do so!
Thanks again
Cheers

I have some spare time right now, so if you'd like me to take a look at your specific setup let me know.
