Dear Colleagues,

Chip and Kaustubh just had an exchange that I thought I should clarify and share with you.

We are now planning the layout of the Minnesota meeting. There are 6 days between the
beginning and ending plenaries. During these 6 days (Tuesday - Sunday) we will have
larger, cross-frontier sessions in the afternoons and inter-frontier sessions in the mornings.
Chip and I will get back to you soon about the planning of the cross-frontier sessions. The
most important issue is how to address the "tough questions" in public.

For the morning sessions, many rooms are available, and there can be time for your
working groups to meet. However, we will probably schedule some EF plenaries, and
the total time is fixed. I would estimate that you can have a a few hours per working
group to meet in private. This might include up to 2 hours, but not more, for talks
on material that will be new in Minnesota and that you feel it is obligatory to schedule.
So, the opportunity is open for such talks, but it is very limited. Please choose these
talks carefully.

We will discuss the schedule of the Minnesota meeting in more detail at this week's
phone meeting.

Thanks,

Michael

HI
I think that the answer is "no" with respect to snowmass as a whole, but if individual working groups are meeting and it works, sure. But the right place for this is Seattle, frankly.

Hi Michael and Chip,

I am sorry to bother you with a quick question: is there any plan to have "contributed" talks at Minnesota? I ask this since there is someone
from Israel doing Snowmass work on searching for heavy resonances decaying into boosted tops etc. He will be in the US (for
other reasons) during Minnesota meeting and so was inquiring whether he can give talk there (he can't come for Seattle meeting).

My guess is that the answer is probably "No", but I just wanted to confirm this with you before I reply to him this way.

Thank you very much.

Regards,

Kaustubh
