Hi Adrian,
Actually, we keep previous releases so that we can look back at core
files. However, since you do mention this is Alice, we know that the
release you are using is a custom build (i.e. the base code has been
modified). So, yes, we wouldn't be able to make much sense of a core file
but only because of that issue. A pstack would certainly give us a broad
view of the issue; along with the log file of the day.
