Folks,

Thank you for your help with the executive summary. I attach what is supposed to be the final version, though the endgame still continues. You will see that the whole document reads well, and I am eager not to promote a random walk back to incomprehensibility. I hope, in particular, that there will be no further changes in the Energy Frontier sections.

Chip and I had scheduled a meeting for Thursday, but we don't see an agenda, and so we would like to put it off. However, there are some things that have to get done:

1. Only the QCD group has updated their working group report since Snowmass. Please put a new version of your group report out on or just after the Labor Day weekend. This version should be essentially complete -- except for numbers that will only come in during September.

2. Chip and I are working on the 30-page frontier summary. We are sorry that it is not ready yet. We will share it with you after Labor Day. All of the conveners of the 6 working groups are listed as authors, so please help us get this right. Cosmic and Intensity Frontiers do not have their 4-5-page summaries ready, so it makes sense for us also to hold up the 5-page summary until the full report is done and to try to get a common tone in both of these. Again, I hope you will see versions of both early next week.

3. Chip will give a 30-minute talk as part of the Snowmass presentation to HEPAP on Sept. 5. This is half the length of Chip's talk at Snowmass. So, he would like advice on what points from his talk at Snowmass should be especially emphasized for HEPAP.

Again, thanks. Please email us about the HEPAP talk, and we will be back with more stuff for you next week.

Best wishes,

Michael
