ACTION ITEM [Daniel]: summarize problems and post to mailing list, e.g.,
  * building antlr is a problem
  * want to use python dist tools, installing python software
    using scons is harder
    * (KTL) See

      for sample eups build (.bld) script for a Python package.
  * want to change everything in consistent fashion, dist tools
    look more appealing, supports single-world view better
  * want to install into our python installed by us
