text/plain (60 lines)

Attendees: Serge, Daniel, Bill, Andy, Fabrice, Jacek

Agenda: just the round table status report, no big
         topics discussed.

Daniel
  - new layout & new scons build system - all done, builds
    (in personal branch)
  - ready to bring the code up-to-date with the tip of master
  - need Bill's changes on the master soon
  - expected to be fully done with new layout/new scons
    this month

Bill
  - successfully merged his tickets (fault tolerance, logging)
  - tests exposed bug related to collecting results for queries
that return no results fix should be simple
  - expecting to push the changes to the master in the next
    few days
  - unit tests for fault tolerance are not automated,
this is complex, it would require dummy xrd client,
    - need to document better (some docs in trac already),
    - consider triggering faked faults through envvar

Jacek
  - went through several iterations with the mysql
    python wrapper
     - mysql handles connections in very shady/convoluted way
     - see #3042 for all details
  - started migrating cat to the new wrapper (#3084),
and clean up cat package in general, incl work on scons
  - discussions with AndyS. on bringing him to the SLAC team

Serge
  - reviewing the wrapper code (#3042)
  - started looking into zookeeper / reviewing Common
    State System code (#3087)

AndyH
  - work on test system for the new xrootd client

Fabrice
  - produced patch for eups to force it to always use
    the same version of python
  - starting to switch to eupsPkg, will be reading
documentation, might need help from Mario
  - scisql will be installed during configuration, because
it relies on several config params from mysql
  - in2p3 planning to try our partitioner on DC data

Jacek
