Hello Daniel,
Today i've been looking deeper to Qserv new build procedure and it looks
very smart and clear.
Nevertheless i've got some questions about the install process.
I've seen most of the files which have to be deployed in qserv install
directory (i.e. $QSERV_DIR) are put in bld/dist by the build procedure.
I think that having a "scons prefix="$QSERV_DIR" install" command which
copy them in $QSERV_DIR woudl be the standard install process ?
It seems that eupspkg use this install command as default.
Do you think we should add this procedure to your scons script ?
Nevertheless, if this scons script is a top-level script we should then
consider qserv-core as a top-level package ? and then create other
packages for qms (or css) and admin tools and other ?
I propose we talk about the deployment procedure soon, in order to
define a good packaging strategy. Would you agree ?
Have a nice day,
Fabrice
