- discussions with Moore Foundations
- db/qserv talk at AAS radio astronomy conf early April
- planning 1-on-1 with everyone in the db group
to discuss how to optimize our work, what works,
what does not, etc
Serge:
- mostly work unrelated to lsst last week
Fabrice:
- partitioning all data (one filter) full scale,
using partitioner
- eups: issues with resolving dependencies when
tried on slac machines, problem not yet understood
- non blocker, Daniel got it to work at ncsa
--> get Fabrice account at slac, then Fabrice
will debug
- eupsPkg - work in progress
Daniel:
- partway through merging Bill's changes, perhaps
will be done by the end of this week
- attended open compute summit
--> email summary to infrastr mailing list
Bill:
- merged latest changes to master
--> close tickets 3019, 2531, 3020
--> open ticket for logging prototype work
AndyH:
- xrootd client - live demo
- new terminology: "provisioning" / "unprovisioning" "sessions"
instead of open/close file
- flexible and more powerful, can request skipping nodes etc
- have client code, code not ready on server side
- still targeting end of March
--> will send link to the latest code
- Bill will start looking at interface
