It's platform-specific--it doesn't occur on redhat-based systems--so the
right thing to do is to check for it and only add it if needed. SCons
has hooks/primitives for that sort of thing. I'd prefer to do things
the right way. A half-way patch would be to detect Ubuntu/Debian and
then blindly hack it

I'd rather not enable it for all platforms.
