Hello,
For information, CC-IN2P3 provide an openstack service and I use it to
set up a brand new Ubuntu 13.10 version, OpenStack is easy to use and
looks quite similar to AWS.
Nevertheless i've got some issues during the build (-lpthread or
-lboost_system gcc flags are now required explicitely in several build
steps), i think gcc version may be different from the one on my laptop
(which wasn't installed from scratch but upgraded from 12.04), where a
previous Qserv build was runned successfully. I will try to give you
more details next week (whereas I will be on vacation a few days of the
week).
For DM-405, the init.d scripts have been improved and should be of
reasonable quality, although there's still some, minor, weaknesses
(mysqld native init.d script returns error message if stopped twice, and
scripts still can't handle cleanly an accidental removal of pidfile,
especially for python services). Nevertheless, I still need to package
and test it, before asking a review.
Have a nice day,
Fabrice
