Quick question, I am trying to setup new environment from scratch,
and I stumbled across a problem with missing qservMeta database.
I basically did the more or less typical:
wget http://sw.lsstcorp.org/eupspkg/newinstall.sh
bash newinstall.sh
source loadLSST.sh
eups distrib install qserv -r
http://lsst-web.ncsa.illinois.edu/~fjammes/qserv
cloned qserv, setup -r ., scons, scons install,
mkdir build/dist/ups,
eups expandtable ups/qserv.table > build/dist/ups/qserv.table
cd build/dist, setup -r ., cd admin/, scons, scons install
cd build/dist/var/lib/mysql/
ln -s /u1/pt1myisam/LSST
cd /u1/pt1myisam/paramFiles_v2/
~/qserv/2/qserv/admin/bin/qserv-admin.py < mydb.loadIt
and copied over emptyChunks.txt to build/dist/etc/
and tried running:
SELECT * FROM Object WHERE objectId = 430213989000
which fails with
20140521 01:07:47.331687 0x27e0200 ERR <py> Unexpected error: (<class
'_mysql_exceptions.ProgrammingError'>, ProgrammingError(1146, "T
able 'qservMeta.LSST__Object' doesn't exist"), <traceback object at
0x2712b90>) Traceback (most recent call last):
Indeed, I can verify the database qservMeta database not exist.
Note, I did not try to run qserv-testdata.
Before I dig any further... can anyone remind me what the deal
is with qservMeta? Do we really still need it and if so, who
should create it?
We never talked about creating it at the Dev week, and it is
not mentioned in:
https://dev.lsstcorp.org/trac/wiki/db/Qserv/RedesignFY2014/Hackathon2/howToRunQserv
What am I missing?
Jacek
