Dear all,
I have just committed systemd configuration files handling xrootd
start up on RHEL7. You can find more details here:
http://xrootd.org/2014/08/29/using_xrootd_with_systemd.html
If you would like to give it a go (and help testing :), you can
checkout the git repo, go to the master branch, go to packaging
directory and run the makesrpm.sh script. It will create a source RPM
for you that you can build on your CentOS 7 box. Feedback will be
appreciated.
The config files start the daemons on boot, exactly like in the SysV
init case. Is there any interest in socket (TCP or UnixDomain) triggered
activation and having watchdogs?
Best Regards,
Lukasz
