Hi,
Shouldn't we use lsstsw mass-tag tool when cutting a new release ?
Indeed, it seems it tags all the Qserv dependencies with the release tag.
---
fjammes@qserv-build-server-offline:~/src/lsstsw (master *%=) $ which
mass-tag
~/src/lsstsw/bin/mass-tag
fjammes@qserv-build-server-offline:~/src/lsstsw (master *%=) $ mass-tag
Usage: /home/fjammes/src/lsstsw/bin/mass-tag [-d] <tag>
-d : instead of setting it, delete the tag
WARNING: THIS WILL APPLY TO ALL LSST/DMS REPOSITORIES IN ./build
AND IMMEDIATELY PUSH THEM TO THE UPSTREAM GIT SERVER.
EXERCISE EXTREME CAUTION.
---
This seems to be safe, indeed running :
rebuild -r RELEASE_TAG qserv
would allow to rebuild easilly any previous Qserv release with the
correct dependencies versions (i.e. the ones tagged with RELEASE_TAG
during the creation of the release).
Would some lsstsw experts have and idea about this, please ?
Thanks,
Fabrice
