find the change request concerning the IR region attached. This has 
already been discussed in the most recent SiD Newsletter
As Karsten said, feel free to read this and send comments. For the sake 
of simplicity and to avoid duplications, I'd suggest,
that Andy and myself will collect comments from SiD, compile them together
and send them to Karsten.

Dear SiD and ILD spokepersons, dear Mike and Hitoshi,

here is a draft of the change request for the ILC interaction region 
configuration. We propose to change the TDR design to an underground 
area that can be accessed via a large
18m shaft for the detector installations. I plan to finalise this change 
request document at a dedicated joint MDI/CFS session that takes place 
on Tuesday, October 7th, at 09:00 at the coming LCWS in Belgrade.

The content of this request and the document itself has been discussed 
within the MDI and CFS groups and found agreement between all involved 
parties.
  I would like to ask you to discuss this draft document especially in 
the detector concept groups and come back to me with comments well 
before the
Belgrade workshop. I plan to submit the change request soon after the 
discussion session at LCWS.
