Dear Matt,
do I understand correctly that for entire 150 ns the readout from all
SVT strips will be saved in an event?
Why do you write 6*25 ns? Are they read sequentially layer-by-layer?
Then for a single layer pile-up time would be 25 ns.
Unfortunately I do care about beam background, since it affects the
resolution (also I have no idea how much, may be it is negligible).

Mikhail.

So, yes you need a lot of bunches around the main event if you want to realistically simulate things. As mentioned, if you don’t care about the beam background effects there is a different
