Hi all

There have been some changes to the way we register for experiments so if you are going to do an experiment at FACET, NLCTA, ESTB or ASTA, please read through to the end of the email and follow our new arrival procedure. If you no longer intend on using our facilities, please email me to let me know per our exit procedure:
https://portal.slac.stanford.edu/sites/ard_public/facet/newnav/Pages/tf/users/Leaving.aspx

Existing users who return should review the arrival procedure here and the vast majority of you will need to register with the new User Portal:
https://portal.slac.stanford.edu/sites/ard_public/facet/newnav/Pages/tf/users/ArrivingProcedures.aspx

The new User Portal is the first step towards integrated user support across the whole of SLAC.

As an immediate benefit to you, the User Portal will allow you to see the status of your own training without requiring a SLAC windows account.

Everyone needs to register including SLAC employees and those who have previously registered with SLUO. People who already have user accounts with SSRL or LCLS should use their existing User Portal credentials to add the FACET facility to their user profile.

ESTB users have been using the new User Portal since June without any issues. However, this wide-scale deployment across all FACET & Beam Test Facilities users may make some new bugs surface! So please get in touch with me if you have issues or general questions on the process.

Cheers,
-Christine
