Hi everyone,

Is anyone working PCI Express Gen3 in the mTCA .4 world?

If so, were there any issues such as when using a fully populated 12-slot chassis?

mTCA .4 cards designed now will we still be able to plug them in the backplane?

As the PCIe Gen(3+X) fat pipe continues to evolve and scale will those AMC cards designed for
PCIe Gen1 and Gen2 plug into to the newer backplanes?

Where is PCI Gen 3 covered with respect to the standards within the mTCA .4 domain?

====================================================
With regards to the SPEC:
PICMG® AMC.1 R2.0 - PCI Express® on AdvancedMC
====================================================
Gen 3 is not addressed in there.

Is there a Revision of the SPEC that addresses PCIe Gen 3 ?

Thanks in advance.

Cheers,
Ernest
