Hi,
The issue with the "invalid version" exception in JAS3 when opening certain StdHep files should be fixed now.
https://jira.slac.stanford.edu/browse/HPSJAVA-610
The freehep-physics dep in lcsim was updated to get the newest freehep-stdhep library which includes a workaround for this problem.
I confirmed by rebuilding lcsim and hps-java trunks and then opening one of the files in JAS3. The error seems to have gone away (I can for instance now open Bradley's TMV files okay).
If you don't see this fix in your local setup, make sure ~/.JAS3/extensions has freehep-stdhep in it which looks something like
~/.JAS3/extensions/freehep-stdhep-2.0.6-20150415.235309-2.jar
Thanks.
