Some of you might want to join this meeting, we will be
talking about authorization/authentication in dax and mysql.
(I am thinking Brian, Fritz, AndyS. Others, if they'd like
are very welcome too!)

Jacek

Thanks Xiuqin. For our meeting this Thursday I'd like to first introduce
Daniel Thayer and Terry Fleury from the NCSA security group who are part
of our auth team, then discuss the dax and MySQL components of the
SUI/T. We'd like to understand better the cases when a scientist would
access the SQL database directly rather than via the dax-apis, which
will help us determine what auth functionality is needed in the database
itself rather than (or in addition to) in the REST API. If there are any
documents on that area that we could review prior to the call (besides
the "The Science User Interface.docx" that we have seen), please let us
know.

Any other agenda items for Thursday?

I was a bit confused about our Thursday meeting time, so I just want to
confirm that it's Thursday at 9am PT / 11am CT, which nicely does not
overlap with our noon lunch hour at NCSA, so is much appreciated. :)

Thanks and talk to you Thursday morning.

Regards,
Jim
