This afternoon, we tried to upgrade the kernel on ccqserv149 first (kernel EPEL -> kernel-ml: "mainline stable" branch of The Linux Kernel Archives):
$ uname -r
4.4.0-1.el7.elrepo.x86_64
Unfortunately it didn't work as expected because of some openafs issue (ELRepo no longer maintains openafs-related packages). We (mainly Ahmed, one of our sysadmins) will try to investigate further. However, if it still doesn't work, we may decide to reinstall this node with CentOS 7.
More news asap,
Yvan
