Hi Oliver,
It is included in 4.8.0 (client side) and 4.9.0 (server side). There is no
speciific server-side plugin to do that, only the functionality is
supported for redirection use based on configurable internal situations.
The XrdOpenLocal_v2 is a client-side plugin and is no longer applicable as
the client already supports "file://" type URL's. What is missing is a
server-side plugin that can drive that functionality in a general context.
We would gladly accept a plugin that could be generally used to drive
this functionality. It's pretty simple to write and would likely front
the cms clent plugin.
