Unfortunately, you misunderstood. The tried= has no effect on the static
redirect. In fact, it shouldn't have for the error recovery case. For a
reselection, I see Brian's point that, by default, you want to stay in your
local cluster. Now I have to find a way of allowing to say you want to reselect
irrespective of location.

Sorry, I don't quite understand. They have static redirect on the local fnal
redirector? I thought this does not fire when tried= is specified, only for new
/ initial file opens (at least that's how I understood Andy).
